91ȱ AWA - Tackle AWA

I’m going to jump straight down to the point and ask you this: “Have you or have you not started your AWA practice/preparation?”

If you’re like most students, your answer is probably the latter – you have not.

Whether you’re Shakespeare or Lalu Prasad Yadav, writing is no child’s play, specifically Analytical Writing.

But you might ask, what weight does my AWA score actually have on my admissions?

Well, more than you think!

The Analytical Writing Assessment Section in 91ȱ aims to test:

  • Your ability to think critically
  • Your ability to frame a logical & coherent response to an issue or argument

That’s why, if you have two profiles like below:

AWA, 91ȱ Score Comparison

Which one do you think is more likely to get an admit?

While the decision is more complex than just on the basis of these two factors, Profile 2 has a higher chance of getting an MS admit than Profile 1.

This is because a higher AWA score is important for a Master’s degree, particularly for thesis or PhD as it is a direct measure of your ability to break down and communicate ideas effectively.

So, how can you ensure you achieve a high score in AWA?

The perfect AWA answer usually consists of the following points.

Structure to deal with 91ȱ AWA

Excited?

Let’s quickly break down the AWA into different parts.

Task 1 – Issue

Time: 30 Minutes

This task tests your ability to evaluate an opinion and then present yours. You are free to agree or disagree with the opinion given to you, but you must justify a particular stance and why you have chosen it.

Most common topics are:

AWA Topics

Task 2 – Argument

Time: 30 Minutes

This task tests your ability to evaluate an argument for its logical accuracy, without presenting your opinion of the issue at hand itself. You must act as a judge – look at the strength of the specific points made and check whether it justifies the conclusion presented in the question.

Some Expert Tips to Ace AWA

#1:Pick a Side!

With the Issue Task, many students often get stumped with certain topics and feel uncertain about taking a particular stance or are equally convinced by both sides of an issue.

Don’t fall trap to this!

It is important that you definitely pick a side and articulate it clearly in the first paragraph itself. The evaluator should be able to understand what side you’re taking just based on an initial glance!

91ȱ Pro Tip: Taking a neutral stance requires you to justify both sides of the issue convincingly. And this can become a tedious task to accomplish within 30 seconds. So, pick a side and stick to it – you’re not going to be judged for which side you pick anyway!

#2:Build A Strong Foundation

The tallest building is only as strong as its foundation. Similarly, your essay can become persuasive only with a proper structure in place.

Thus, every essay has a

  • Strong introduction
  • Series of main ideas
    • Supporting details for each main idea
  • Clear conclusion

In fact, if you visualize your essay, it would look like this:

AWA Structure

#3: Showing Off Is a No-No

If you had two teachers, who would you pay attention to:

  • Teacher A, who uses difficult words and has an over-the-top accent
  • Teacher B, who explains concepts clearly and simply

You would choose Teacher B, right?

Similarly, you must make your essay as easily readable and understandable as possible.

Don’t use complex 91ȱ words unnecessarily. Use them appropriately to embellish your essay and give it a hint of sophistication.

For example, take the following question:

“True beauty is found not in the exceptional, but in the commonplace.”

Write an essay in which you take a position on the statement above. In developing and supporting your essay, consider instances in which the statement does and does not hold true.

Introduction for AWA

Without using bombastic 91ȱ words, the passage clearly conveys that the writer believes that people are amazed by things they experience rarely rather than experiences that are commonplace.

#4: Local vs. Global

Try putting yourself in the shoes of your evaluator. If you were evaluating an essay, would you be more compelled to read if the essay spoke about Shahrukh Khan or if it spoke about Colin Firth (British Actor)?

Similarly, when writing your essay, quote international examples that the evaluator can relate to.

For this, it is extremely important to develop a strong reading habit. Following the news every day can help you get trending, relevant examples to drive your point home.

[BONUS]: It also helps you build your reading skill & vocab for the Verbal section, so it’s a win-win situation.

#5: Tackling the Ticking Timer

You get 30 minutes for each AWA task. Within 30 minutes, you’re supposed to read the question, interpret what’s asked of you, ideate a flow, actually type it out, and then check for errors.

This can be quite overwhelming if you’re not prepared for it. Also, since it is the first section of 91ȱ, you want to ensure it goes as smooth as possible so that you can set the pace for the rest of the exam.

So, what can you do?

How to answer AWA

91ȱ Pro Tip: If you’re concerned about your typing speed, ensure that you get enough practice and speed it up. Many online websites such as www.typingclub.com can help boost your speed to the ideal target of 70 words per minute.

91ȱ Last Minute Tips

The day is fast approaching.

After months of sleepless nights, sacrificing dinner plans and cricket matches, the day of your 91ȱ exam is clearly visible in your rear-view mirror.

You may have completed your preparation or are en route to completion, with your Verbal and Quant section almost done and dusted.

All you have to do is to have a calm composure and take up the exam and give it your best shot.

So what lies ahead?

Even though you might have your hands on the best study material with cutting-edge technology, practice, and prayers, there is one statement that finds its way out of every student’s mouth.

A few last minute tips would be great!

Well, what you ask is what you get.

Though ETS allows you to take up your 91ȱ up to 5 times a year, how does it sound to get the score right on your first attempt?

You would have befriended many techniques and methods to master various sections of your 91ȱ. Though they may be essential and effective, you might have forgotten them over time.

So here are THE LAST MINUTE TIPS that will give you the extra grip to hit your winning shot with ease.

#1.FRIEND ZONE THE FORMAT

It is important to familiarize yourself with the structure of 91ȱ. Because the last thing you would want in your exam are surprises. So here is the syllabus for 91ȱ!91ȱ Last Mi nute Tips - Work Together

There are a total of 6 sections:

  • AWA (Analytical Writing Assessment)
  • 2 Quant sections
  • 2 Verbal sections
  • 1 Experimental section (Verbal or Quant)

The Analytical Writing Assessment measures your ability to think critically and present your ideas in writing.

The Quant Section is basically your high school mathematics.

The Verbal Section analyzes your English 91ȱ vocabulary and grammar skills.

The Experimental Section can be either Verbal or Quant. Since this section is unbiased and unknown to the user, give your best shot in every section.

NOTE:

– You will have a 10-minute break after the first 3 sections. The Experimental section can be in between either of the sections or can even be your first section after AWA.

– It is a section-wise adaptive exam. The Verbal and the Quant section are divided into two parts respectively. Depending on how you answer the first part, the difficulty level of the second part varies.

#2: TIME AND TIDE WAIT FOR NONE!

91ȱ Last Minute Tips - Time Ticking

So far, you’ve been trying to get your fundamentals right. Now comes the time when you gear yourself up for the D-Day. Most test takers find time management to be a major problem while taking the actual test. That is why it is important for you to train yourself to complete questions within the ideal timeframe.

91ȱ Pro Tip: Reduce the total time of your 91ȱ mock test and practice to 10% of the original time. This trains you to solve problems in lesser time and leaves you with enough time to check your answers.

QUANTITATIVE REASONING

  • Ideally, you can spend up to 2 minutes on a Data Interpretation question, especially the first one.
  • Spend time to understand graphs and plots. So, the questions pertaining to them will only take a meager portion of your time.
  • Questions from Arithmetic and Algebra should ideally be covered in 40 to 60 seconds.
  • Questions from Geometry, that are easy or of medium difficulty level (levels 1, 2, 3) should be answered in a span of 40 to 60 seconds.

91ȱ Tips - Segmentation of 91ȱ Questions

VERBAL REASONING

Similar to its mathematical counterpart, The Verbal section should also be solved in a fixed span of time. This grants you the time to retrace your answers and give a little bit more attention to the Reading Comprehension section. *YAY!*

91ȱ Tips - Verbal Questions

TRACK YOUR TIMELINE

Practice your mock tests with a targeted timeline.

Let us get into the explanation: each section is about 35 minutes, so ideally on your seventh minute, you should have solved your 5th question and so on.

91ȱ Tips - Timelines

91ȱ Pro Tip: 91ȱ exam allows you to mark an answer and return to it later, if needed. So when you feel stuck in some question at any point of time, remember to mark the answer, and move on rather than breaking your head over it.
Keep your cool!

#3: SEARCH,SELECT,SHORTLIST!

When you decide to take up your 91ȱ, search and shortlist universities simultaneously.

This also gives you an insight on the requirements of your dream universities. ETS allows you to send your 91ȱ scores for free to four universities immediately after you take your exam. Why not use the opportunity wisely?

Here’s how you can research and shortlist universities before your 91ȱ.

#4: DECEPTIVE DIAGRAMS ALERT!

With multiple sections comprising various questions, getting your dream score can get hard. So why take a chance? Watch your every step and answer carefully. When a diagram is given, never take it for granted and assume the measurements to be right. All these benefits expired after your math exam in high school.

Let us take an example.

Question: In the given figure, what is the measure of angle QSP?

At first look, you may be quick to conclude 30 degrees. (assuming PS || QR, PSQ = RQS)

However, it is nowhere mentioned in the question that PS || QR. Therefore the solution is,

Unless a note states that a figure is drawn to scale, do NOT solve these problems by estimating sizes by sight or measurement.

#5: SET YOUR BIOLOGICAL CLOCK

Ensure that you tune your body for the 91ȱ. Make sure to take your mock exam exactly at the same time as your actual 91ȱ exam (or make it early, like stated in the tip above). This will make sure that your exam time is not alien to you, and you can maximize your productivity during your test hours.

#6: IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!

Don’t learn any new concept or new word on the day before your exam. Just relax, and have confidence in yourself. Make sure you have a good meal and sleep well before your exam.

321 Scorer, Rutwik says:

Before exam day, do not slog for hours giving tests or memorizing words. Get 7–8 hours of sleep and be confident, no matter what!

Make sure you pack for the exam the night before, especially the essential ID proofs and some protein bars for your 10-minute break!

Research shows that people who rest properly before the day of the exam tend to perform better than their always studious counterparts. With all your preparations coming to an end, lay back, take a break, and relax!

Think of the admission that you have always dreamed of, visualize the multiple evenings you are hoping to spend there, and believe in yourself to get there!

All the best!

How to Plan for a High 91ȱ Score?

By itself, the 91ȱ syllabus is quite easy.

The entire Quantitative Reasoning Section is based on your high school mathematics (minus Trigonometry & Calculus).

Of course, the Verbal section is quite daunting, but there is nothing you cannot master, provided you know how to tackle it systematically.

Now, see, that’s where the challenge lies.

Ensure that you create a study plan that helps you:

  1. Cover the 91ȱ syllabus thoroughly and in a methodical fashion.
  2. Wrap up your preparation in 3045 days before your 91ȱ date.

That’s how Aditya Kardile felt before he started his 91ȱ preparation as well.

With just 30 days in hand and no direction to his preparation, Aditya needed to move on fast!

In this situation, anyone would have accepted a lower-than-expected score.

But Aditya was not one to throw in the wet towel on his aspirations.

After earnest and methodical preparation, Aditya scored a smashing 330 in 91ȱ with a perfect 170 in Quant too!

How did he manage to pull it off?

WHAT EXPERT TIPS HELPED ADITYA PLAN IN HIS 91ȱ PREPARATION PERFECTLY?

Week 1: The Warm-Up Week

Just like how you would treat a new exercise routine, it is important to treat your first week of 91ȱ preparation like that too.

The focus for the very first week should be conceptual learning. You must use this time to learn tricks and techniques to solve 91ȱ problems and get the answers right.

Give more importance to being accurate, over solving questions on time… for now.

Week 2: The Grind Week

Your focus for the second week should continue to remain accuracy i.e solving questions correctly. However, depending on your schedule, you can squeeze some time for revision as well.

91ȱedge Pro Tip: If you have lesser time during the week and more time on the weekends, then plan your study accordingly. It is important to cement your basics thoroughly in the first two weeks so rushing to complete your syllabus must be avoided.

Week 3: The Revision Week

It’s time to go pro!

Once you have a strong foundation, it’s time to build on those skills with more advanced practice.

This is also the week where you’ll start paying more close attention to:

  1. how much time you spend on a question
  2. what kind of errors you’re making
  3. how to get more targeted practice to address your weaker areas

91ȱ Pro Tip: At the end of the third week, ensure that you take at least 2 91ȱ mock tests on Saturday & Sunday, preferably, one in the morning & one in the evening.

Week 4: The Practice Week

The last lap is always the hardest and, surely, the focus of your fourth week should be: PERFECTION.

Armed with essential & advanced practice, you’re now ready to take full-length 91ȱ style mock tests. These tests should be adaptive and accurate in terms of your final score.

This is also the time for you to focus on the most overlooked aspect of 91ȱ, that is, Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA).

91ȱ Words - 91ȱ Word Learning

Dear 91ȱ Aspirant,

I know you.

You’re the person who’s tried everything to tame this beast.

Writing down while studying words.
Breaking it up into root words.
Saying it loud and almost coercing your mind to remember them.

Sadly, none of it seems to work, does it?

At least in remembering those pesky 91ȱ words for a long time!

One such student like you was Akshaye.AP Akshaye - Mastered 91ȱ Words!

He decided to prepare for 91ȱ soon after graduating to give himself enough time to brush up his skills.

As soon as he went through a few sample questions, Akshaye realized that 91ȱ Verbal was going to be his Achilles Heel. And, the best way to tackle 91ȱ Verbal, particularly Text Completion & Sentence Equivalence sections is by developing a strong vocabulary.

However, after a quick glance at the long list, he realized his worst fears had come true most of the 91ȱ words were alien to him.

Many people would let their worries get the better of them, but Akshaye was cut from a different cloth. He followed a study schedule where he was advised to master 20 91ȱ words per day, write them down in a diary, and revise them on the weekends.

In just 2 months, he challenged himself to master 91ȱ Vocabulary and was it worth it?

Come exam day, Akshaye scored a whopping 334 in 91ȱ with an impressive 165 in Verbal.

WHAT EXPERT TIPS HELPED AKSHAYE LEARN & REMEMBER 91ȱ WORDS?

#1: 3D Learning

How do you go about learning 91ȱ words?

When you take up a word, do you look at the meaning, understand it, and then look at the usage?

If you do that, then that’s great! But, you still haven’t learned the word.

There are actually a couple of more stages than that.

91ȱ Word Learning

Want to learn 91ȱ words quickly and easily? Learn 91ȱ words with your favorite cartoons and TV shows! Download your FREE 91ȱ Words eBook now!

Stage 1: Knowing a Word

At this stage, you break down a word into its meaning, parts of speech, and usage. For example, take the word “chicanery”

Meaning: Using tricks or deception to get something done

Parts of Speech: Since this word is used to identify a behavior/practice, it is classified as a noun.

Usage: He was too naive to understand his partner’s chicanery and lost all his money.

Stage 2: Understanding a Word

At this stage, it is important to be able to explain the meaning of the word in your own words and then categorize it.

Let’s try doing that for the word “chicanery.” Using immoral or unethical practices to achieve a goal is chicanery.

To categorize the word, answer the following questions:

  1. Is the word positive or negative?
  2. Does it describe an emotion or a behavior?
(Most words will fall into this category and are the easiest to remember because of the direct association.)
  3. Are there any simpler words that mean the same?

For Chicanery, you’ll be able to easily categorize it as:

  1. It is a negative word.
  2. It describes a behavior.
  3. Trickery & Deception are similar to Chicanery, but simpler.

Stage 3: Applying a Word

At this stage, you start inducting the word into your own vocabulary by using the word in speaking or writing.

Go on, try applying the word Chicanery!

Here’s our example:

His political career was fueled by black money and chicanery to win votes.

Once you learn a word like this, do you think you would remember it better than you did before?

#2: Picture Perfect It

Think about this.

When you watch your favorite movie (mine is Shahrukh Khan’s, of course) and try to recall your favorite scene, what do you see when you close your eyes?

The actor’s face, expressions, and the setting?Or, do you remember the subtitles or dialogue?

This is exactly because Visual Memory activates the “ROM region of the brain” that is 65% more long-lasting than any other form of memory.

Similarly, exercising your visual memory for learning 91ȱ words can help you remember what you learn for longer!

For example, consider this 91ȱ word and image:

What are some of the first words you can associate with this picture?

Stubborn Horse

Difficult? Stubborn? Unrelenting?

Now, guess what the meaning of the word Obdurate is?

Obdurate is used to describe a person who is being stubborn with the intention of stalling progress.

So easy, right?

At 91ȱ, we have collated 3000+ 91ȱ words with relevant and quirky pictures for remembering.

Would you like to get started?

#3: Five-in-One Method

This is a quick and easy tip that ensures you learn multiple 91ȱ words at once and this is best used as a revision method. The moment you learn 5 91ȱ words, stop.

Construct a sentence or paragraph that uses all of the above words & is still meaningful.

This will help you correlate words, understand the meaning with context, and remember the words for long.

91ȱ Pro Tip: Use the name of a person that reminds you most of that particular emotion/behavior described by the 91ȱ word to cement your learning.

For example, let’s say you learned the following words:Castigate, Condone, Disparage.

Anjali (the person that reminds you of this word) was castigated by her father for her disparaging remarks against the school principal. He told her firmly that he would not condone this kind of behavior.

#4: Get to the Root of Things!

Modern English as a language has evolved over many centuries with strong influences from Greek and Latin.

Therefore, many words that are apparently different from one another in meaning actually have common root words that mean the same thing.

For example, consider the 91ȱ word, “misanthrope.”

It is made up of two Greek root words – “misein” & “anthropos.”

91ȱ Words - Break Words to Master

Therefore, the word misanthrope means someone who dislikes mankind and avoids people.

These are just some of the many tips that 35,000+ students have used to achieve their dream 91ȱ score!

We can help you become the next one too!

The post Fall 2018: How to Research & Shortlist Universities For Your Profile appeared first on 91ȱ Blog.

]]>
If you have recently received your 91ȱ Scores, we bet that you are busy navigating through the tonnes of information available on various universities to apply for your graduate studies. This is indeed a critical decision, so the confusion and anxiety surrounding it is understandable.

You will be facing this decision 3 times in the course of your applications abroad:

  • While selecting universities to which you will be reporting your 91ȱ Scores
  • After your 91ȱ scores have arrived
  • When you have to choose among received admits.

Of these three stages, the second one is the most difficult. Shortlisting Universities is an important process that needs to be approached with much planning and research. This is because this decision will determine the chances of your admits and through that the course of your life in the years to come. Since you will be spending a good amount of money applying to each university, your options maybe limited. Naturally, you would like to opt for the universities where chances of a positive outcome are high.

If you are perplexed by the task at hand, don’t worry, here’s a plan of action that will help streamline your search for universities.

To begin with, let us understand the basic principles for shortlisting universities:

  1. The most critical aspect is to understand your profile
  2. The choices that you make among the limited options, should maximize our chances of admissions
  3. Depending on your budget and other factors, you need to decide the maximum number of universities that you will be applying to
  4. Shortlist universities based on your profile, not on the basis of the university’s reputation and/or acceptance rate
  5. Do not take all the information you get at face value. Be skeptical, verify the data you find online

First of all, you need to be aware of your 91ȱ Score, CGPA, Research experience, Practical exposure and TOEFL/IELTS Score. This is to understand your strengths and identify challenges if any such as- low 91ȱ, backlogs, mediocre CGPA, lack of research experience.

To simplify the process of selecting universities, we will use the 91ȱ Score as a criterion to determine our approach. We can have 3 unique cases in this regard:

  1. 91ȱ Score below 300
  2. 91ȱ Score between 300- 320
  3. 91ȱ Score above 320

Let‘s chart out the course of action for each of these instances.

91ȱ Score below 300

Applicants with a 91ȱ Score below 300 have several questions running through their mind.

The first one is “whether I should go ahead with this score or not”.

[Read]: Should you retake 91ȱ if you have a score of 300 or less?

This is because the general understanding is that most universities have a 91ȱ Requirement of 300 and more.

Firstly, you need to know that the universities have individual criteria for your Quant, Verbal and AWA Score. Secondly, there are always ways to plan out your options if you’re ready to accept the limitations while choosing. For instance, with this score, it might not be possible to get an Ivy League University. But this can’t be said in a general sense. Let us dig deeper to understand whether you can apply or not.

Secondly, there are always ways to plan out your options if you’re ready to accept the limitations while choosing. For instance, with this score, it might not be possible to get an Ivy League University. But this can’t be said in a general sense. Let us dig deeper to understand whether you can apply or not.

But this can’t be said in a general sense. Let us dig deeper to understand whether you can apply or not.

If your 91ȱ Score is above 290, CGPA of 7+ and TOEFL Score is above 90 (or 6.5 and above in IELTS), you surely have a chance of getting good admits. If you are a working professional with 2 or more years of experience in a relevant domain, then your chances of an admission is even higher. It doesn’t mean a score below 290 has no scope, but the options are limited and the risk of applying will be slightly higher.

Further, there are courses that don’t bank on your 91ȱ score alone, instead consider your research and practical experience.

However, if you are applying to one of the core courses; for example Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; it’s wise to select universities which accept profiles with 91ȱ Scores below 300.

In this day and age, our instincts drive us to Google anything. This is not a bad habit, in fact, it is a good starting point. Several universities will pop up if you enter your 91ȱ Score and course on the web. The challenge lies in verifying what you read after all everything is user generated.

Once you have a primary list of options from Google, it is highly recommended that you join the various groups on social networking sites like Facebook to interact with like-minded people. This will help you verify what you have collected and understood from the various sources available online. You will be able to connect with alumni of various universities, peers facing a similar dilemma and experts who have guided students overcome challenges.

The third level of check is looking for the minimum requirements of the universities on their department website. In case the data is not available, you must write to International Graduate Admissions Office and clarify your eligibility in terms of your score.

Now, to answer a trickier question:How many universities should one apply to and how to reduce the risk while trying to gain the best possible admits.

Ideally, a student should apply to a minimum of 6 to 8 universities.

For a score below 300, it is wise to opt for 3 universities where you have a clear idea on the eligibility, this we can mark as a safe option for you, i.e you have about 80% chances of getting an admit. 2-3 universities that you choose should be such that chances of admits are high, but you’re not fully sure. These options can be marked as achievable ones, i.e you have about 50% chances of getting admissions. You can also apply to 1 or 2 universities that are your dream options, where chances of admissions are very low but it would be great if it comes through. In this way, you will be maximizing your chances and reducing the risk of rejections. Having said that meeting minimum requirement alone, won’t suffice in determining the outcome of your application. You need to factor in the competition you may face, the quality of your documents and the university’s policies for admissions this year. Much of this data can be found online with a bitof social media platforms.

However, you may want to consider taking up some counseling to be equipped enough in making more informed decisions.

91ȱ Score between 300- 320

This is a convenient category to fall in, as a lot of options are open for a score in this range.

With a good CGPA of 7 or 8 points and a TOEFL Score above 95, you will have several universities where you’re eligible to apply.

Unlike applicants who score below 300, your challenge is not in deciding whether to apply or not, but to narrow down the best options among the available ones.

The good news is, you have a good chance of getting a positive result if you take calculated risks. This means you can plan your options to target your dream universities. If you fall short of your target university, you will still have good admits to choose from.

The question is, how does one opt for universities that take care of your ambitions as well as the risk involved.

If you plan to apply for 8 universities, on the whole, it is ideal to go for 2 safe options (80% chances of admit), 4 achievable ones (50% chances of admit) and 2 among your dream universities (less than 30% chances of admit). It will be helpful if you speak to alumni from various universities, your seniors who have applied and also connect with fellow applicants on social networking sites. But you may find a lot of conflicting information online, cross verify and be absolutely sure before applying to a university.

Be careful to not play it too safe, because you do have the potential to get into some well-reputed institutions. At the same time you need to be smart enough to choose the most feasible options among the top-notch institutes, reducing the risks and increasing your higher possibility of paying off.

91ȱ Score above 320

If your 91ȱ Score is higher than 320, then you can target some of the top colleges regarding your specialization.

It is wise to focus on the opportunities provided by the universities, related to your specialization.

With a TOEFL Score 100+ to compliment your 91ȱ Score, you can really stand out among other applicants if you go to universities that are actively researching in your area of expertise and interest.

For example, if you have worked with a company for 2 or more years in the domain of cyber security. You can apply for the above credentials to the most reputed universities for a related course. If the professors are actively engaged in the projects related to your specialization, you have a good chance of getting a positive response.

There is also some potential to get Research Assistantships once you are in the university.

Students with scores in this categoryshould plan to apply early in the intake. This is because building a good rapport with Professors at the universities before and as you apply will be a good way to proceeding with the admissions.

If your long-term objectives are not related to research, then you can opt to go for some non-thesis courses too where you will be completing additional coursework or engaged in a project instead of a research-intensive endeavor. Such courses might not require a lot of networking with Professors beforehand.

In such cases, students must study the course offered in-depth by the universities before making your final choice of options. This is because even within core degrees such as MS in CS, the specializations offered are not uniform among the universities. You may have some universities that offer specializations related to data science, while others offer importance to coding and program development.

To gain an admission you should choose a specialization that best reflects your past profile as well as your interest. To ensure you do not get into a high-risk situation. It is advisable to opt for 1 or 2 safe universities, 3 achievable ones and 3 dream universities. You must pay close attention while selecting your dream universities, these may be competitive options but there will be among such options surely those that are suitable for you.

Tip: you must focus on conveying your profile, learning, and thoughts cogently through your documentation and addressing any drawback in your profile.
